Around the world there are many environmentally friendly tourism destinations and when it comes to such destinations, certain local destinations certainly comes to the mind immediately. Vietnam, Kenya, Cameroon are considered to be the most classic destinations. But looking at the growing popularity of the eco-tourism destination certain places are adding more to the list. Below mention are some of the most popular destinations which are gaining momentum and are most preferred for eco-tourism scene.  
Dubai
Dubai much known for its high rising modern building and intricate structure with world class architecture, recently the emirate was recommended as the emerging eco-tourism destination. Visitors who are interested for eco-tourism tour can plan trip to Dubai’s nature reserve or visit to the desert area with the local guides. 

Dubai in recent time has become the most popular tourism destination be it for shopping, pilgrimage or for exciting tour, but with the eco-tourism coming into picture, its surely going to be a hot-spot for tourists in times to come.

Kerala, India
Kerala is no doubt world renowned for its eco-tourism initiative and recently the government and the Department of Tourism is putting all their effort to promote eco-tourism of the state. A growing number of eco-tourists are heading to the state in Southwest India to visit dozens of national park, wildlife sanctuaries, reserve bio-sphere and the protected areas. 

The state is developing the state tourism with the slogon “God’s Own Country” and the Department of Tourism is investing in development and promotion of responsible tourism as a sustainable and responsible form of economic development. 
 
 
 
Bhutan
Bhutan is next tourism destination which is slowly establishing itself as an eco-tourism destination. This south Asian nation, respect of all the local customs and the nature has been established by the government, giving priority as a national importance. 

The eco-tourism opportunities fall within the luxury category and only high end clients are targeted, as each visitor has to pay a daily tax of $250. These taxes go for preservation of the landlocked country, which is beautifully located between India and China.

 Bhutan provides an excellent opportunity to relish the beauty of the protected areas, exceptional natural and cultural beauty, protected parks and forest reserves. Visiting this landlocked country will surely let you have once in a lifetime experience. 
 
 

Myanmar
Myanmar has diverse and rich reserve of flora and fauna and has one of its kinds of bio-logical reservoirs in Asia. The presence of the Eastern Himalaya, remote plateau which lies in the rain shadow region Madoi Madaing Razi Alpine rangeland, marine life, terrestrial ecosystems containing mosaic coral reefs, mangrove forests and the rain forest offer wonderful opportunity to  soak in the richness of the eco-tourism beauty. 

Slowly the country is opening for the international tourism providing an opportunity to interact with the local populations. The country also offer exciting opportunity for hiking from Kengtung with the most popular Golden Triangle as well as interact with the local villagers from Palaung, Akha, Lahu, Lisu, Khun tribes.  
 
 
In the coming years, there will be several more star destinations which will let eco-tourist to explore the richness of the nature, well preserved by the concern citizens and the country.
